Meet the Owners
Spring and Carolyn
Channelling our polish heritage, we strive to make the best authentic homemade pierogi and other delicious polish foods using recipes passed down from generation to generation.
Ingredients
We source as many of our ingredients as possible from the Santa Fe area, supporting our local farmers and businesses. Not only does this help our community, but it also provides the best high quality meal we can make.
about us
Our grandparents immigrated from Poland in the late 1800's/ early 1900's.
Our families' name heritages-
Bąk- is pronounced as Bunk, so it was written that way when they came through Ellis Island.
Lewicki- means left hand or lion. They were predominently laborers from south Poland.
Burkowski- was changed to Bucior when they arrived to America to sound more French because the French got better jobs in the mines.
Skottesby- changed to Scobey after they migrated to the US in the 1840s. This surename means farm or settlement and optimistic peacemaker.
